It seems we can’t go a week without some sort of big story emerging about LIV Golf and the PGA Tour and it looks like we’re in the same boat again just a week out from The Masters.

With Augusta the dominant topic in the golfing world right now, anything outside of that topic of conversation is – you would assume – secondary.

However, when it comes to LIV, the PGA Tour, and the future of golf in general, it feels like it’s always near the top of the conversation ladder.

As we know, there is no deal done as yet despite apparent interference from Donald Trump. With that, rumours continue to circle over the future of certain LIV players, with Brooks Koepka among those admitting ahead of LIV Miami this weekend that the product isn’t as far advanced as he expected.

And now, according to the popular Mr Short Game on YouTube, LIV could be set for a big exodus when it comes to its star players.

LIV Golf facing big problems as key players could re-join the PGA Tour

While it’s worth pointing out that Mr Short Game suggested Tony Finau had signed with LIV before it got nowhere near happening, it’s still interesting that he’s feeding in rumours to the golf world.

Indeed, on his latest video, one particular comment caught the eye as he suggested that LIV could be losing some of its star names. And soon.

“I’m hearing that there is going to be an exodus from LIV back to the PGA Tour. That could very well happen. This is all happening quickly. Because LIV moves fast,” he said.

Interestingly, in another comment in the video, he revealed that Bryson Dechambeau is one of those players considering his LIV future, with numerous factors apparently influencing that decision.

Could LIV Golf be running out of patience after spending billions?

Right from the very start, some predicted that LIV Golf would not last the duration and it certainly seems like there are cracks starting to appear.

They struggled to attract big talent in their last off-season while a host of big names like Brooks Koepka, Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau are consistently linked with moves back to the PGA side of things.

Indeed, after spending a reported $5bn already, it could well be getting to the point where the PIF cut their losses and decide this is never going to get going as they wanted.

With the PGA Tour holding firm over their own side of any potential deal, LIV seems to be getting pushed further and further away from what true golf lovers enjoy seeing.

Yes, there is a place for LIV in the game. But with so many ongoing wranglings and money being spent, there might well be a feeling from within LIV that at some point, it’s just not worth it anymore.
