Keegan Bradley produced a superb showing at the PGA Championship, with the American Ryder Cup captain finishing T8.
His compatriot Scottie Scheffler won the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, as fellow Americans Bryson DeChambeau, Harris English and Davis Riley finished T2.
Bradley loved seeing Scheffler and DeChambeau contend at the second major of the season, where the PGA Tour star ultimately edged out his LIV Golf counterpart.
Their impressive displays have arrived as the 2025 Ryder Cup edges closer, getting underway in September.
Bethpage Black plays host to the team event later this year, where Luke Donald’s Team Europe are looking to defend their title against Bradley’s America.

Smylie Kaufman tells Keegan Bradley to really consider two players for 2025 Ryder Cup
Bradley could be a playing captain at the Ryder Cup, but he has now been told by Smylie Kaufman to consider two players for his team after their impressive showings at the PGA Championship.
Speaking on The Smylie Show, he said of J.T. Poston and Denny McCarthy: “These two guys, I think it would be fantastic if they found a way onto the team.
“If you threw out J.T. Poston and Denny McCarthy on guys who stripe it. If you put J.T. Poston on the greens for name the striper of the golf ball, and put Denny McCarthy on somebody who also stripes, you are like alright now we are starting to see some pretty sick pairings. Both of those guys can roll it. Both of them had really nice weeks.”
How did J.T. Poston and Denny McCarthy do at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow?
The Ryder Cup is rapidly approaching, and subsequently so is the deadline for players to catch the eye of their respective captains.
Somewhat worryingly for Bradley, European players have been really enjoying themselves on the PGA Tour in 2025.
But it was the Americans who showed up at the PGA Championship, and that includes Poston and McCarthy.
| Position | Player | Score | R1 | R2 | R3 | R4 | Total |
| T5 | J.T. Poston | -5 | 68 | 70 | 68 | 73 | 279 |
| T8 | Denny McCarthy | -4 | 70 | 68 | 72 | 70 | 280 |
| T8 | Keegan Bradley | -4 | 68 | 72 | 68 | 72 | 280 |
The former finished T5 on five-under, six shots behind champion Scheffler, with the latter one shot behind Poston in T8.
The battle for the limited spots on the Ryder Cup teams is certainly heating up, and Poston and McCarthy have more than likely now caught the eye of Bradley.
But not all likely Ryder Cup hopefuls managed to step up at Quail Hollow, with Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas among the Americans missing the cut.
