Keegan Bradley has quickly become the talk of the golfing world after putting himself in contention to play at the Ryder Cup.
Bradley is the US Ryder Cup captain, but has climbed to ninth place in the current qualification standings for his side.
The rise comes after Bradley won the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands last week for his first PGA Tour title of the season.
Bradley still plans to be the Ryder Cup captain, but he could be utilised in a playing captain role at Bethpage Black.
The team tournament takes place in September, with Scottie Scheffler the only player to have qualified for the US team so far.

Keegan Bradley makes ‘serious’ Ryder Cup admission after meeting with vice-captains
But much of the talk has focused on Bradley, who was asked on The Rich Eisen Show: “Technically are you playing for your spot that you can choose for yourself?”
He replied: “I guess so. It’s so strange. It’s a really strange thing because I can’t ask for any advice to anyone about this.
“Tiger [Woods] did it at the Presidents Cup, which he was excellent. Ryder Cup is a little different to the Presidents Cup.
“I am trying to go about this path and the last person to do it was Arnold Palmer in 1962, so I can’t call up a guy and be like ‘Hey what was your experience doing this and how was it?’
“We are all learning as we go and learning on the clock. But I’m lucky my vice-captains have been great, they will help me with this decision.”

And when asked how often he is meeting with those vice-captains, Bradley responded: “We all had dinner last night and we’re chatting, but we are talking every single day.
“We are working on the Ryder Cup, so there isn’t a day where we are not planning things out, talking about players, figuring out what we want to do for the team, so this is a daily process especially as we get closer.
“Things are ramping up so we are starting to see the team take shape and we know a bunch of guys who are going to be on the team.
“[We are talking about] who we compare them with, when we want to play them, what format. So things are getting serious.”
Keegan Bradley says how his Travelers Championship win has changed his Ryder Cup stance
As standard Ryder Cup practice, the American captain has turned to plenty of experienced figures in their attempts to clinch the trophy.
In New York in September, Bradley will be supported by vice-captains Jim Furyk, Kevin Kisner, Webb Simpson and Brandt Snedeker.
But all eyes are very much on the captain himself, who just won his first event since the 2024 BMW Championship.
Providing an update on his Ryder Cup stance after that one shot victory over Tommy Fleetwood and Russell Henley, he commented: “I will definitely be at least the captain. That is for sure.
“I have great vice-captains around me who are there for me if that does happen. I will do whatever I think is best for the team.
“Certainly me winning last week has changed the stance that we had before that, I never would have played on the team if I had not won.
“It definitely changes things a little bit but we still have two months before the Ryder Cup and we are going to make the best decision.
“If me playing is going to help the team then we are going to do that, if it doesn’t then we are not and we are still a long way away from making that decision.”
