Justin Thomas is having an excellent tournament at the RBC Heritage and holds the lead after 36 holes.
He shot a course record-equalling 61 on Thursday to give him a three-shot advantage, which was only reduced to two with a 69 on Friday.
There are two players in joint second, Si Woo Kim and Arnold Palmer Invitational winner Russell Henley, and Thomas has been paired with the former.
What happened at the Presidents Cup last year should give them both extra motivation to play well at Hilton Head.

What happened between Justin Thomas and Si Woo Kim at the Presidents Cup
Thomas and Kim were matched up against each other in the singles portion of the 2024 Presidents Cup.
The South Korean not only won the point for his team, but riled his opponent up with some of his antics.
He didn’t give Thomas a very short putt on the 9th hole, which the American clearly took exception to.
Then, on the 15th, Kim made an important birdie to win the hole and proceeded to shush the crowd at Royal Montreal.
Thomas was visibly fired up by his actions, but he wasn’t able to salvage anything from the match.
He said in the press conference after the United States won the Presidents Cup: “Honestly, at the time, I was pretty p—– off.”
“It’s one of those things, I think, when you’re in the moment, when you’re on the other side of it, it’s something that gets you motivated, gets you pumped up a little bit.
“I mean, he hit the shots and made the putts better than I did the last three holes or, really, the last nine holes when he needed to. So I can say whatever I want about it, but he beat me. So he has the upper hand on me.”

Justin Thomas has more than Si Woo Kim to think about at RBC Heritage
Thomas could take Kim’s behavior at the Presidents Cup personally because it was a singles match between them.
However, the 31-year-old has far more to worry about than Kim in the RBC Heritage second round.
Henley (-10), Tommy Fleetwood (-9) and Scottie Scheffler (-8) are all also in the chasing pack behind him.
Thomas must stay in his own lane if he wants to end his almost three-year drought to win his next PGA Tour event.
