Justin Thomas will be hoping to build on his win at the RBC Heritage with another strong showing at The Truist Championship.
Philadelphia Cricket Club is a new venue for everyone in the Truist Championship field this week.
And Thomas seemingly has the perfect game to contend around the storied A.W. Tillinghast design.
Thomas had Joe Greiner on the bag for The Masters and the RBC Heritage, but he’s back with his old caddie Matt Minister for the Truist Championship.

Rory McIlroy said The Truist Championship will be a bombs away with the driver course, due to the lack of hazards off the tee.
But Thomas is more of a creative shot-shaper, so it will be interesting to see whether or not he takes a different route to McIlroy.
Justin Thomas says why he has a 10-year old club in his bag for the Truist Championship
Thomas is well-known as being one of the most creative players on the PGA Tour.
He’s old fashioned in the sense that he likes to shape the ball off the tee in order to fit the hole he is playing at the time.
And with that in mind, it’s perhaps no surprise that he has a really old club in his bag for this week.
Thomas spoke to reporters and explained why he uses an old 5-wood instead of a newer model.
The 31-year-old said, “I’m not. I think there’s definitely a reason it’s been in there. It doesn’t necessarily have as much to do with not being able to hit the newer stuff well or like how it performs. It’s more of just how it performs distance-wise is what I need.

“I’ve hit a couple of the latest 5-woods, like the last couple editions or launches, and they just go a little bit further than I would like in a 5-wood. It’s just kind of a perfect club for me, I feel like. It’s unique in the sense that I feel like I can hit it 230 yards if I need to, but I can hit it 265 in the air if I need to.
“So it’s similar to a 3-wood. If you get a good one, it’s tough to replace. I have a handful of heads left, and I definitely won’t be giving anybody any of them to try any time soon.“
