Jon Rahm has endured an underwhelming 2025 season on LIV Golf on the whole.

Sure, Rahm has been remarkably consistent on LIV, finishing outside the top-10 just once in 11 events.

And his performances in the majors have been solid as well, with two top-10s to his name and no finish worse than a tie for 34th.

However, the Spaniard doesn’t have a win to his name, and that will be the only thing he cares about.

Rahm believes he has actually improved as a player on LIV, due to the fact that he is able to hit a greater variety of shots now.

However, there is one thing that seemingly continues to hold him back.

The Spaniard is well-known for being hot-headed on the golf course.

On numerous occasions this season, his temper has got the better of him.

And his emotions spilled over once again at the JCB Golf and Country Club last week.

Rahm lashed out at a microphone on the seventh tee during LIV Golf UK, and some golf fans took to social media platform X to criticise him for his actions.

One fan said: Pros used to never do that sort of stuff in the past.

Whilst another responded by simply saying: Childish.

Then a third fan said he thinks Rahm is regretting his move to LIV: He really looks like he regrets moving to LIV. Oh well.

While a fourth suggested that golf manners are a thing of the past: Such a child……golf manners are disappearing…..not cool.

A fifth fan said Rahm needs to remember that he’s a role model: All the people saying he’s a nice guy give him a break. He is a nice guy but that fiery temper is not good with so many cameras about. He could have done a number of different things to let out his anger but chose to damage equipment. Not a good look or role model example.

Meanwhile, a sixth golf fan said: Lol why are golfers all being sheep and doing this all of a sudden.

And a seventh said that Rahm needs to do better: My father taught me how to golf. He would reprimand me if I showed my temper after a bad shot. It’s not just unsportsmanlike, it’s childish and an insult to a game where you police yourself.

While an eighth fan labelled Rahm’s behaviour as ‘ridiculous’: These pro golfers need a reality check The tantrums over the last 8 months have been ridiculous And it’s not just Rahm / LIV guys See Wyndham Clark, Lowry, Rory, the list goes on “Grow the game” they say, then act more immature than my 2 year old son.

Would Jon Rahm be a better golfer if he reined in his temper?

There is a case to be made that Rahm’s fiery temper is what actually makes him such a good golfer.

Take that away from the Spaniard and perhaps you wouldn’t be left with the same player.

He is very similar to Tyrrell Hatton in that regard.

However, damaging property on the golf course is simply not acceptable.

Professional golfers losing their tempers during tournaments has become something of a theme this year sadly, with the likes of Wyndham Clark, Shane Lowry and Cameron Young all guilty of over the top outbursts.

Something has to change in that regard, because these top golfers should be setting an example to the younger generation of fans.

Rahm owes it to the game of golf to eradicate the behaviour he displayed at LIV Golf UK last week.
