Most YouTube golfers these days are more than capable players with single figure handicaps but luckily for the Average Joe, there are some out there who are very much ‘average’ at best.
The likes of Rick Shiels, Peter Finch and Grant Horvat are all more than capable players, while Wesley Bryan is a PGA Tour player and Good Good Golf’s Brad Dalke is also a former PGA Tour player.
Sometimes, seeing players on YouTube hit good shot after good shot can be repetitive. Thankfully, though, there are some out there who still resonate with a lot of viewers.
Step forward, Bob Does Sports star, Robby Berger.
The host of the channel is nowhere near the level of playing partner Fat Perez and at times, he hits shots which make him look like a 20+ handicapper.
And according to Jon Rahm, Berger isn’t actually much better than that in his eyes.

Jon Rahm’s brutal assessment of Robby Berger’s golf handicap after playing with him
Chatting on the latest video on the channel, Berger asked Rahm about his ability on the golf course and asked what sort of handicap he’d be.
However, rather than be overly complimentary, Rahm was pretty harsh as he suggested Berger doesn’t take the game seriously enough.
“I don’t see you taking it seriously. It’s scrambles, things like that. I see the potential. But I have to say it’s up there. I’m going to be nice and say maybe 15. Being nice,” Rahm said.
What handicap are other YouTubers like Rick Shiels and Grant Horvat?
With so many on YouTube now, there’s a lot of players who fill the entire spectrum on the golf handicap system.
Rick Shiels himself has claimed his handicap would be around the one or two mark if he played at a local club regularly, while Grant Horvat claims to be a plus four.
Others in the YouTube scene vary. Peter Finch is around the scratch mark, while someone like Tubes from Tubes and Ange’s Golf Life is around the 14 mark.
Of course, the biggest YouTuber of them all in golf is Bryson DeChambeau is going to be around the plus six mark at least, while world number one Scottie Scheffler has admitted he plays at around plus seven at home.
