Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton are kindred spirits in every single sense of the meaning.

Rahm joined LIV Golf at the end of 2023, before Hatton made the same move just one month later.

The two players are now teammates for Legion XIII on LIV, and they obviously spend a lot of time together as a result.

Rahm recently suggested that he and Hatton deserve a lot more credit for the golf that they have produced on LIV.

He probably has a point as well. The Spaniard has won twice on LIV, while the Englishman has one victory to his name.

Both Rahm and Hatton have performed consistently well in the majors as well. It could be argued that the Legion XIII teammates are two of only four golfers to have actually improved since joining LIV, alongside Bryson DeChambeau and the current leader of the LIV Golf standings Joaquin Niemann.

Jon Rahm admits his relationship with Tyrrell Hatton has changed since joining LIV

Rahm and Hatton often play practice rounds alongside one another.

So they have clearly grown a lot closer over the past 18 months or so.

Rahm spoke to reporters on Wednesday ahead of LIV Golf London, and opened up on how his relationship with Hatton has changed.

The two-time major champion said: I’ll tell you the one thing we’ve learned about each other we’ve gotten to know a lot more our taste on wine. At first it was like, I like it; I like it too. But then you get to know, okay, what do you like. So that’s been a bit more profound. You get to know each other a little bit more.

One thing about both of us is that as much as we may act on the golf course, we’re not afraid to make fun of each other or make fun of ourselves. We’ve shared a few laughs about things we may have done on the course. They get to laugh as well because they don’t do that. It’s a good time for everybody. I think, like any other friendship, in general, you just get to know each other a little bit better.

It’s a balance, right, because we spend a lot of great time together but we also want to beat each other, and when we’re playing together it’s glaringly obvious that we want to beat each other, but we don’t say it. But it is what it is. It’s a friendly competition as well within things, and I think that’s why it works so well as well.

Rahm and Hatton have quite obviously been driving each other on this season. All that’s left now is for both of them to get a win under their belts before the 2025 season comes to an end.

What better place to start than at LIV London this week?

Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton’s results on LIV Golf and in the majors in 2025

Neither player will be satisfied with their season so far.

Rahm and Hatton are seasoned winners, and the fact we are now in July and they are both yet to get off the mark with a victory is hard to believe.

Here is how their results in LIV and in the majors compare so far in 2025:

AchievementsRahm’s 2025 resultsHatton’s 2025 results
Majors wins00
Major top 10s21
LIV wins00
LIV top-5s42
LIV top-10s93

Rahm’s consistency has been incredible this season, but he’d swap all of those top-10s for a win in an instant.

Hatton will be desperate to get off the mark with a victory as well before the 2025 season comes to a close.
