Three-time PGA Tour winner Johnson Wagner has predicted how LIV Golf’s stars will perform at The Masters this year.
Major championships are the only opportunities to watch the best players from the PGA Tour and LIV Golf compete against each other these days.
And with most golf fans not paying much attention to the rival league, there’s always an added interest in how those players will get on.
Interestingly, Wagner didn’t name Bryson DeChambeau as one of the two LIV players he expects to contend at Augusta National.

Johnson Wagner predicts two LIV players to do well at The Masters – not Bryson DeChambeau
LIV Golf’s success, or lack thereof, is not due to a lack of quality players or high-profile names.
One man who ticks both boxes is DeChambeau, who many people won’t know has had a disappointing 2025 season to date. Wagner even went as far as to call it “terrible.”
As a result, the 45-year-old picked two other LIV players to have strong weeks at The Masters: Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia.
The Spanish pair have both won the tournament previously and, barring a poor performance at LIV Golf Miami this weekend, will arrive at Augusta in good form.
Wagner said on the 5 Clubs YouTube channel: “I’m putting Jon Rahm on my list. I think he’s got something to prove this year. He continues to play well on LIV. I would say Bryson, but he’s been terrible to start the year out on LIV.
“I’m going to go Sergio [Garcia]. Sergio picked up a win. He’s third on the LIV points list. I’m going to go with Sergio and Rahm. I’m flying the Spanish flag.”

Golf experts debate Tyrrell Hatton’s and Joaquin Niemann’s Masters chances
Fellow ex-PGA Tour player Brendon de Jonge disagreed with Wagner’s prediction and suggested two different LIV players will be in the mix. “A couple guys: Tyrrell Hatton and Joaquin Niemann.”
Both players have enjoyed plenty of success on the tour – Niemann is currently at the top of the 2025 season standings – but those were not popular picks on the panel.
5 Clubs host Gary Williams responded: “Tyrrell Hatton, weirdly, his major record is too modest for the profile he is as a player.” Taylor Zarzour then replied: “Not as modest as Niemann’s though.”
“No, no, it’s not. [Hatton is] also older. He has more starts than Niemann does in Majors,” said Williams.
Meanwhile, Wagner pointed out Niemann’s underwhelming top major result: “Niemann’s best finish in a major is T16 at Augusta a couple of years ago, so I’m not putting him on my list.”
