Jake Knapp’s girlfriend takes a cheeky swipe at Bryson DeChambeau and LIV

Whilst Bryson DeChambeau has been hitting bombs ahead of LIV Mexico, Jake Knapp has been doing the same on the PGA Tour…but at sea level!

DeChambeau was one of the first defectors from the PGA Tour, when he joined LIV Golf in the summer of 2022.

The 31-year-old American has won twice on LIV, and he is one of the few players from the Saudi-backed tour who has actually remained competitive in the major championships.

If DeChambeau improves his iron play, he will definitely have a real chance of winning at least one more major this season.

The two-time US Open champion is well renowned for being the longest hitter in the game, but PGA Tour star Knapp is capable of running him close.

Knapp was sending it off the tee during The Zurich Classic in New Orleans on Thursday, and his girlfriend couldn’t resist taking a cheeky pot-shot at DeChambeau and LIV after her boyfriend’s opening round.

LIV Mexico starts on Friday, and DeChambeau was sending bombs out on the range at Club de Golf Chapultepec, carrying one drive a whopping 407 yards!

The 31-year-old clocked an incredible ball speed of 199 mph.

He has actually recorded a record ball speed of 217 mph before, during a long drive event back in 2021.

DeChambeau has put in so much work over the past few years into becoming the longest hitter in professional golf, although he has reined it in slightly over the last 12 months.

That said, if he wants to, he can easily reach close to 200 mph ball speeds with his driver.

Even taking the 7,800 feet altitude out in Mexico into account, DeChambeau’s 407 yard carry was still hugely impressive.

However, Knapp’s girlfriend was more impressed by her boyfriend’s 380 yards drive at The Zurich Classic on Thursday…at sea level!

The 30-year-old one-time PGA Tour winner regularly racks up ball speeds of over 190 mph with his driver.

And Makena White took to her X account on Thursday to praise Knapp for his prodigious length off the tee:

It would be great to see the two players grouped together in a major championship this season.

There would be some truly unbelievable driving on display.

But which player is the longest out of the two?

Whilst both players are extraordinarily long off the tee, DeChambeau definitely has another gear in his locker, whilst Knapp maxes out his ball speed in the low 190 mph’s.

Knapp’s girlfriend’s post on her X account on Thursday was clearly a cheeky jibe at DeChambeau and LIV Golf in general.

And you’ve got to give her credit, it was some seriously impressive trolling.
