Scottie Scheffler has continued his dominance in golf by winning a fourth successive PGA Tour Player of the Year award.
Scheffler loved winning the PGA Tour Player of the Year award for the 2025 season, during which he earned six victories.
That included wins at the PGA Championship and The Open Championship, with Scheffler taking his PGA Tour career tally to 19.
The world number one beat Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood and Ben Griffin to the honor, and has now received a message from the man it is named after.

Jack Nicklaus congratulates PGA Tour Player of the Year Scottie Scheffler
A post from the Instagram of legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus read: “Congrats to Scottie Scheffler for his four-peat and winning the Jack Nicklaus Award as PGA Tour Player of the Year.
“Even with Rory McIlroy and his wonderful year – along with very talented and greatly improved Ben Griffin and inspiring Tommy Fleetwood – giving Scottie a run as finalists, it’s very hard to overlook six victories in one year, including the Memorial Tournament and two majors.
“Right now, Scottie is at the top of the game! Arguably in a class by himself. Although the PGA Tour today is filled with terrific players. Still, Scottie certainly shines at the top!

“Scottie doesn’t make golf his major priority, and I like that approach. I think you live a much happier and healthier life that way.
“After all, golf is a game, and Scottie Scheffler sure does a great job at playing that game. Congratulations again, Scottie! Barbara and I are very proud of you!”

Scottie Scheffler matches Tiger Woods record with PGA Tour award
As Nicklaus alluded to, the likes of McIlroy, Fleetwood and Griffin all impressed, but there was no beating Scheffler.
His stunning season involved finishing inside the top 25 in all 20 starts, and posting the lowest scoring average for the third year in a row.
How many shots would Scottie Scheffler beat Tiger Woods by in an 18-hole stroke play match?
And he’s now emulated fellow American Tiger Woods, having become just the second player to win the award four or more consecutive times.
Thanks to his dominance once upon a time, Woods was crowned PGA Tour Player of the Year from 1999-2003.
