Scottie Scheffler has once again come out on top after being named the PGA Tour Player of the Year yet again.
Scheffler had another super season in 2025 and he added another major to his resume as he continued to break records and win comfortably across the PGA Tour.
Of course, Rory McIlroy was also in contention for the award this year after he himself recorded a brilliant 2025 season.

However, it is Scheffler who has sealed the award for a fourth straight season and now over on his social media platforms, the American has given his thoughts on receiving the award.

To win such a prestigious award just once is a big achievement so to do it four times in a row is quite the feat from Scheffler.
The Texas native has been impeccable for years now and in fairness to him, he is probably the only player worthy of the award in those four years.
Now, over on Instagram, Scheffler himself has reacted to the award and posted a heartfelt message.
“I have so much respect for every golfer in this game! To be honoured with this award, voted on by my peers, I’m very fortunate,” Scheffler wrote.

It was very much a flip of a coin in terms of Scheffler and McIlroy this season.
In the end, the thing that swung it in Scheffler’s direction was probably the two majors he added to his CV when he captured both The Open and the PGA Championship.
Add another four PGA Tour wins to his name for the season and the fact he finished inside the top ten in 17 out of the 20 events he played in, and it’s clear Scheffler was dominant.

Rory McIlroy, of course, will feel a touch aggrieved after such a superb season himself. McIlroy won The Masters and added more wins to his own CV along the way, while also leading Europe to Ryder Cup success.
Still, it is Scheffler’s year once again and few will have complaints when they unpack everything.
