Tommy Fleetwood has shared the area of his game he hopes to improve in 2024 as the 33-year-old looks to take that final step and become a major champion.
Tommy Fleetwood looks to be raring to go as the new season kicks into gear. The Englishman clinched his first victory in over a year last month, beating Rory McIlroy on the final hole to clinch the Dubai Invitational.

He is now in the top 10 in the world rankings. But of course, his focus will be on clearing that final hurdle and winning a major this year. Fleetwood has finished in the top five at the Masters, US Open, Open and PGA Championship during his career.

And it seems that Fleetwood believes that improving his conversion rate on the greens could be crucial, as he spoke in a video with the PGA Tour about his goals for this coming year.
“I putted really well last year, but I think I could still hole more putts from that holeable range; that makeable range, five to 20 feet range is something I really want to focus on day-in, day-out and keep improving that,” he said.
“I did everything pretty well last year. But there’s always little things that you can concentrate on and build on that. And hopefully, through them the results that you want will come.”
Promising signs
The positive signs are that Fleetwood has already shown signs of improvement. He holed a brilliant putt to make the birdie which handed him victory in Dubai.
Fleetwood’s putting numbers are already incredibly impressive. As reported by the PGA Tour website, he was sixth for putts per round, and third for one-putt percentage last season.
Of course, that does not tell the full story. Fleetwood is absolutely outrageous with his irons. So that can only help his putting statistics.
If he does improve on that, he is surely going to be a major champion before too long.
