Masters winner Trevor Immelman has said that up and coming PGA Tour star Min Woo Lee can be a true superstar in the game.
Australian star Lee is quickly becoming one of the most popular players in the golfing world and has enjoyed a superb rise to the top in the last few years.
Lee has won three times on the European Tour, including a Scottish open in 2021, and is hoping to nab his first victory on the PGA Tour during the 2024 season.
And speaking about Lee, 44-year-old Immelman admitted that he loves what he’s seeing from the 25-year-old Perth native.

Min Woo Lee tipped to be a ‘global superstar’
Speaking about Lee on The Smylie Show, Immelman admitted to being super-impressed by Min Woo, and believes that he can go on to become one of the game’s best.
“He’s someone that I really really like. I like his charisma, I like his attitude, I like his style on the golf course. I like how he doesn’t take himself too seriously. And he plays with such amazing enthusiasm and freedom and he’s somebody that I honestly believe, Min-Woo, and I’d put him in the same category as Tom Kim. They have all the pieces. All the understanding of the game around the world. An understanding of the game and how it impacts around the world. They’ve got that extra something, that it factor that the media, the fans love. So these guys for sure have the potential to be global superstars,” Immelman said.
Lee has proven a popular golfer both on and off the course and is a big favourite of the ever-growing and improving YouTube golf community.
The Australian recently linked up with YouTube giants Good Good Golf while he’s also done bits with Rick Shiels in the past too.
Of course, Min Woo’s main focus is on his actual golf and 2024 could be a huge year for him.
