PGA Tour star Patrick Cantlay has been speaking about whether or not he’d be up for joining the LIV Golf circuit in the future.
Cantlay, 31, is an eight time winner on the PGA Tour and one of the stars of the USA golf scene. His last win came at the BMW Championship in 2022 and he was a key figure in the US Ryder Cup team, despite some controversy with Rory McIlroy along the way.
Of course, Cantlay has stood by and seen a number of top stars move from the PGA over to LIV.

Jon Rahm became the latest megastar to make the move recently.
But Cantlay has revealed that despite some offers to make the move, he is likely to remain on the PGA Tour for now.
Patrick Cantlay shares whether he’d join LIV Golf
In quotes ran by the Daily Mail focussing on a meeting with Tiger Woods, Cantlay also shared his thoughts on LIV.
And as is stands, it seems he’s happy where he is.
“It’s a personal calculation based on your values, your priorities, et cetera. ‘So I don’t think it’s a surprise that there’s a certain type of player that’s tended to go over there, on the whole. For me? I have no plans on joining LIV. I don’t plan on joining LIV. I see myself playing on the PGA Tour. I declined offers. Pre and post joining the board. And the most recent offer I got, I declined in the same meeting that my management team brought it to me,” Cantlay said.
Cantlay is expected to be a major player across 2024 and one of the favourites for all the majors.
So far, he’s yet to win a major, with his highest finish coming at the PGA Championship in 2019, where he finished third.
The California native will be hoping to change that this year though as he seeks to make the biggest of all splashes.
