16-year-old golf sensation Kris Kim made his PGA Tour debut this weekend at The Byron Nelson and it’s safe to say he made quite the impression.

Kim made the cut for the full weekend after going under par on both his opening rounds and although he ran out of steam over Saturday and Sunday to finish down in 65th, it was still a memorable debut.

For Kim, it will all be a big learning experience and he’ll be eager to come back for more in the future.

However, the harsh realities of being so young and playing four days of tough golf have perhaps hit home for Kim as well.

And speaking about his week after the round yesterday, Kim admitted that there’s a lot for him to learn and improve on in terms of physicality.

Kris Kim shares what he really needs to work on after making his PGA Tour debut

Speaking in his flash interview immediately after the tournament finished last night, Kim admitted that he’s got a lot to take away from the tournament when it comes to fitness and doing the right things.

“I need to work on my stamina. Erm…feel like I’ve got to watch what I eat as well and kind of train better. But yeah, definitely eat more on the course, fruit wise and everything like that,” Kim said.

Of course, at just 16, Kim has a lot of room for improvement and development on that side of things.

Naturally, over time, that will come and if he continues to do the right things then they sky could be the limit for Kim.

Kris Kim a potential superstar after starring at Byron Nelson

There’s plenty of young superstars in the world of sport to be excited about but when someone comes along in golf, it immediately catches the eye.

Kris Kim, at just 16, has done something quite remarkable really in terms of producing on the biggest stage at the first attempt.

Obviously, we’ve seen a bunch of young golf stars emerge at different times such as Tom Kim, Jordan Spieth a few years ago, and more recently, the likes of Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg.

There is, though, a feeling around Kris Kim that suggests we might have seen the next big superstar of the golfing world.

On the evidence this weekend, that feeling might just come true.
