How Scottie Scheffler was looking on the driving range at Oakmont before the US Open starts

The US Open is just days away from teeing off and at the moment it very much seems to be a case of if you beat Scottie Scheffler, you might well win.

Scheffler comes into Oakmont in fine form having won The Memorial and the PGA Championship and at the moment, is very much the very best player in the world.

Over the season, Scheffler has got better and better and his consistency across all aspects of his game has been quite frigthening in terms of the levels he’s hit.

Now at Oakmont prepping for his opening round, Scheffler is already getting focused on the task in hand and looking at his practice session on the range, it seems he’s very much looked in.

Everyone who watches Scottie Scheffler in action knows full well he excels at everything in his game.

However, to see him up close and personal and just how consistent he is with his golf game is something else and luckily for us, the US Open have shared a video of Scheffler getting into things on the range.

As we can see in the clip, Scheffler is very much in the zone and his consistency with the irons is exceptional.

Indeed, it was so impressive that a number of fans chipped in with their thoughts on Scheffler’s swing.

One fan was even left baffled by how Scheffler keeps things straight, commenting:

“On the backswing with irons he’s straight down the line and with woods he’s across the line I also didn’t realize how steep his swing was. And I have no idea how these aren’t slicing”

While another was mesmerised.

“Just not even looking at the feet. How simple of a golf swing is this. Tempo, Rhythm, ball flight.”

Of course, Scheffler’s swing isn’t entirely conventional, something one fan pointed out as well.

“His swing isn’t very graceful, but it’s maximally effective.”

Still, based off this small video and what Scheffler has been doing recently, he’s going to take some stopping when play gets underway at Oakmont.

Indeed, if he can keep in the tempo he’s showing here, then he’ll have no problem been up at the right end of the leaderboard as head into the weekend rounds.
