Scottie Scheffler seems to be in great form ahead of the Arnold Palmer Invitational this week.

Scheffler made a superb start to his 2026 PGA Tour season, with a win at the American Express in his first start.

He then followed that up with back-to-back top-four finishes at the WM Phoenix Open and the Pebble Beach Pro-Am respectively, before ending up in a tie for 12th at the Genesis Invitational.

Do you think Scottie Scheffler will beat Tiger Woods’ consecutive cuts record?

He's not even halfway there right now…

Scheffler will fancy his chances at the Arnold Palmer Invitational this week – he has won around Bay Hill twice before.

The Arnold Palmer Invitational is one of the most stringent challenges on the PGA Tour and those kinds of tests usually suit Scheffler to a tee.

And judging by his Pro-Am score on Wednesday, his game is in immaculate shape right now.

Scheffler went out in the first group in the Pro-Am at Bay Hill bright and early at 7 am on Wednesday morning.

It didn’t take him too long to play the course, due to the exceptional golf he played.

Scheffler shot a front nine score of seven-under-par 29 at ‘Arnie’s Place’ on Wednesday.

Considering the difficulty of Bay Hill, that is a quite remarkable round of golf.

The 29-year-old world number one parred his first two holes of the day before making birdies at the third, fourth and fifth holes.

Scheffler then eagled the sixth before parring the seventh.

He finished up his front nine with birdies at eight and nine.

If Scheffler manages to maintain that kind of form for the rest of the week, good luck to the field at Bay Hill!

What Scottie Scheffler has said about the changes at Bay Hill

The world number one addressed the media on Wednesday afternoon and responded when asked what he makes of the changes made to the golf course this year.

I always enjoy the harder tests that we see, Scheffler said.

Is Scottie Scheffler more likely to end up with 50 PGA Tour wins and 10 majors or 25 wins and 5 majors?

When you think about those golf courses, you think about Muirfield, even when it’s soft it’s really challenging.

This golf course, I would say, with the way the rough is now, how firm the greens are, that just gets so challenging. Here in Orlando we typically always get wind. It’s very rare to get a stretch here where you don’t get a ton of wind.

I feel like the standard is usually about 10 to 20 miles an hour, which for golf is a great amount of wind. It’s not anything crazy where you’re afraid your ball’s going to blow or oscillate or anything like that, but it’s challenging enough where you really got to hit it extremely solid to get the ball through the wind and control it.

If the wind is gusting to around 20 mph, Scheffler will be even more confident in his chances of winning, such is the exceptional nature of his ball striking.
