World number one Scottie Scheffler is yet to hit his full stride this season but make no mistake, he will be gunning to win the Masters once again when we head to Augusta National in April.

Scheffler won the event in 2022 before passing the baton to Jon Rahm, before then reclaiming his title in 2024 with a stunning display of golf in what proved to be a dominant year for the Texas native.

Scheffler is now among a number of players to have multiple Masters titles to their name and he’s alongside great company in the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, and Tiger Woods.

However, when it comes to the way those multiple green jackets were collected, Scottie Scheffler has the chance to do something that even the likes of Woods, Faldo and Phil Mickelson were unable to do.

Scottie Scheffler can be only second man to win three Masters titles in four years

With Scheffler winning in 2022 and 2024, going into the tournament in 2025, Scheffler has the chance to put himself alongside the great Jack Nicklaus in Masters history.

Nicklaus still sits top of the pile with six Masters wins to his name, one ahead of Tiger Woods.

However, should Scheffler manage to snatch the 2025 title, he will become the first player since Nicklaus to win three Masters titles in four attempts.

Nicklaus managed the feat between 1963 and 1966, as he won three times from four, with Arnold Palmer sandwiched in between with his fourth overall win.

Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods are the closest in terms of the modern day player. The American duo won five of six between them from the years 2001 and 2006.

Which golfer has won the most majors won consecutively?

When it comes to winning majors, few know how to get it done more than Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.

However, while Woods might not be in the conversation here with Scheffler and Nicklaus if the current world number one gets it done in April, Woods does still hold the record for winning the most majors in a row.

Alongside 1800s legend Tom Morris, Tiger holds the record with four majors in a row won between 2000 and 2001. Indeed, it’s known in the realms of golf as the ‘Tiger Slam’.

Tiger actually finished fifth in the Masters in 2000, meaning he came agonisingly close to winning all four in the same season before he captured another green jacket in 2001 and then followed it up again in 2002.

As it stands, that’s a record that could take some overcoming, even as good as Scottie Scheffler is.
