Tom McKibbin is set to sign for LIV Golf – and details of the Northern Irishman’s contract have been revealed.
Bombshell reports at the start of January suggested McKibbin will be Legion XIII’s newest signing, joining John Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton and Caleb Surratt.
McKibbin has not denied the LIV rumours, and after playing with Hatton at the Team Cup in Abu Dhabi, it seems only a matter of time before the 22-year-old’s breakaway league move is confirmed.
How much will Tom McKibbin earn with LIV Golf?

Financial reasons are usually at the forefront of those who sign for LIV. Jon Rahm has earnt $390m, Phil Mickelson $205m and Dustin Johnson $186m.
And, for McKibbin, signing up for the PIF-backed venture will reportedly result in a life-changing sum in his bank account.
According to The Telegraph, McKibbin will receive an up-front payment of $5m, which will only increase over the length of his contract.
Since making his DP World Tour debut in 2018, McKibbin has earned $2.6m. So, effectively, he’s being paid twice what he’s made over his entire career just to turn up to LIV.

| 1. Jon Rahm | $390m |
| 2. Phil Mickelson | $205m |
| 3. Dustin Johnson | $186m |

Why Tom McKibbin’s LIV Golf move impacts two-time DP World Tour winner
One player who has been impacted by McKibbin’s imminent LIV Golf move is two-time DP World Tour winner Jordan Smith.
McKibbin sealed the final PGA Tour card ahead of the Englishman at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. If McKibbin moves to LIV, he will relinquish the chance to play on the PGA Tour. Currently, no breakaway league stars have featured on the PGA Tour since LIV’s inception in 2022.
If Smith earned one of the ten lucrative PGA Tour cards, he would’ve earned an automatic $500,000 and a potentially life-changing spot on golf’s most prestigious circuit.
Since making his debut in 2014, Smith has earned over $8m and played 216 tournaments on the DP World Tour.
