Bryson DeChambeau is renowned for being the longest hitter in the game.
The amazing thing about DeChambeau is that he actually has a lot of power in reserve, and he cruises a 190mph ball speed during tournament weeks at probably 90 per cent of his capacity.
DeChambeau is actually being tipped to struggle at The Open this week, due to the difficulty he has in flighting the golf ball down.
The 31-year-old American is a huge star in the game today, obviously because of his incredible talent, but also due to the fact that he can clock extraordinary ball speeds with his driver.
He is a major draw in professional golf, and the fans absolutely love him.
Bryson was even putting on a show on the driving range at Royal Portrush on Monday ahead of The Open this week.
How far Bryson DeChambeau hit his driver on the range at Royal Portrush
DeChambeau’s record ball speed currently stands at 221.5 mph, although his fastest attempt during a PGA Tour or LIV event was 199.5 mph.
The American was warming up on the range at Portrush on Monday, when regional qualifier Richard Teder plotted up alongside him.

Teder qualified for The Open by holing out for an eagle on the first play-off hole at Open Qualifying a couple of weeks ago.
The young Estonian, 20, is well known for being immensely long off the tee as well. So, with both of them standing side by side on the range, was it really any surprise that they decided to have a long driving competition with one another?
DeChambeau clocked a 200 mph ball speed, whilst Teder was one mph slower at 199. Both of those drives carried 349 yards through the air.
However, the American then cranked it up a notch or two and launched a drive that carried 388 yards through the air, to beat the young Estonian convincingly.
The raw power and explosive speed displayed by Teder was mightily impressive nonetheless.
The longest recorded drive Bryson DeChambeau has ever hit
DeChambeau has clocked numerous 400+ yard drives during his time on the PGA Tour and LIV.
However, one recorded drive he hit wasn’t on either of those tours.
During ‘The Match’ in 2021 – an exhibition event – at The Reserve at Moonlight Basin in Montana, DeChambeau launched a 480-yard drive on the eighth hole.
The hole played a long way downhill, but still. That was an incredibly powerful drive.
However, the thing that has made DeChambeau so good is the fact that he has reined in his explosive power when playing in tournaments.
That said, it will still be very interesting to watch him hit his driver on the downwind holes at Royal Portrush this week.
