The brand new series of Netflix’s Full Swing is just days away, and golf fans are getting ready to dive back behind the scenes of professional golf.
12 golfers will definitely feature in the new season, including Rory McIlroy. The Northern Irishman is set to be an important storyline throughout series three.
Elsewhere, Bryson DeChambeau’s 2024 US Open win has been documented. However, the American refused to speak to Netflix’s cameras.
Netflix could also revisit its portrayal of Tom Kim. Kim was one of the stars of Full Swing during season two, as the cameras showcased his rookie year on the PGA Tour.
Tom Kim’s record during Full Swing series two

Kim burst onto the scene as a junior player, becoming the first golfer under the age of 21 to win twice on the PGA Tour since Tiger Woods.
In the fourth episode of the second season, Netflix showcased Kim’s struggles at the 2023 PGA Championship. A comical moment was also documented after the South Korean covered himself in mud while attempting to play a shot out of the hazard.
Kim missed the cut at Oak Hill before he finished tie for eighth at the 2023 US Open; the Netlfix cameras conveniently brushed over his impressive outing at LACC.
Instead, Full Swing jumped ahead to the Open Championship at Hoylake, where Kim finished in a tie for second whilst nursing a serious ankle injury. Kim won his second PGA Tour event the same season at the Shriners Children’s Open.
During Kim’s featured episode, McIlroy was complimentary of the South Korean’s talents. “He is such a big personality in our game who looks like he is going to break so many records,” McIlroy said.
Jordan Spieth delivered similar praise. “He is extremely talented,” said the three-time major winner.
Tom Kim’s record post Full Swing
Kim’s record post Full Swing is arguably less impressive than when Netflix’s cameras followed him. Kim didn’t manage a top-ten finish in 2024 until the RBC Canadian Open, which took place in June, six months after the start of the season.
The South Korean then placed 26th at the US Open before finishing runner-up at the Travelers Championship. Kim lost to Scottie Scheffler in a dramatic play-off after finishing level with the world number one.
Kim would then miss the cut at The Open before finishing in the top ten at the Olympics. The 22-year-old knew an Olympic medal would earn him exemption from South Korean military service. Kim ended 2024 with a runner-up at Tiger Woods’ Hero World Challenge.
As the 2025 PGA Tour season ramps up, Kim will be looking to establish himself among golf’s elite players and contend with the likes of Scheffler on a more regular basis.
