For Tiger Woods, a lot of his time nowadays seems to be spent away from the golf course rather than actually on it, as injuries and father time catch up with him.
The 15-time major winner did play in 2024 but didn’t really pull up any trees and ahead of the 2025 season, it remains to be seen how Woods will feature.
Still, he’s keeping busy off the course as he ventures into the TGL with Rory McIlroy and looks to get his teeth into designing new golf courses.
Furthermore, Woods has also launched his new clothing line, Sun Day Red, in what was one of the more eagerly anticipated launches of the year.
However, in the main, the amateur golfer doesn’t really see too many out and about in the Sun Day Red gear as prices and availability seem to be an issue.

In a bid to build the brand, though, Woods has announced that Sun Day Red will now be on sale at the legendary Pebble Beach Golf course in the US.
Golfers playing the historic course will have the chance to shop for Sun Day Red if they wish on site.
However, that announcement hasn’t gone down all too well with the golfing public, as fans on social media once again used the announcement as a way to criticise the brand and Woods.
Golf fans criticise Tiger Woods and Sun Day Red after Pebble Beach announcement
As always on social media, fans are quick to throw their opinions into the mix and when it comes to Sun Day Red and Tiger Woods, it’s safe to say it’s not the number one brand just yet!
One fan suggested what we wrote above, in that he doesn’t know a single person who has spent money on the brand just yet.
While another fan joked that he had indeed been shopping, but was now broke due to the cost.
Another fan, @tuckahoetommy, slated the actual logo of the brand with his tweet.
“Logo is terrible – i was so excited for this brand”
While @Needdayjob went further, suggested it might actually ruin part of Tiger’s legacy.
“Sun Day Red is a perfect example of the arrogant stupidity that will inevitably diminish (if not destroy) Tiger’s reputation and fortune.”
Another golf fan, @bawzoot1, also joined in the train slamming Sun Day Red.
“Awful. Both logo & name are lame. Would expect better from his branding team. No idea of the quality of the apparel but there’d be a dozen brands I’d wear before I looked at this”
For balance, there was a few who didn’t quite wade in on Tiger and suggested the criticism was a touch harsh, with @nws13 posting the following:
“I don’t know why it’s become so popular to crap all over SDR, as if it’s the first brand in the golf space to charge 100 bucks for a polo or 50 for a hat. If it runs you 90 bucks for a Rhoback, which feels like a soccer practice jersey (still like them tbf) then this is fine.”
However, it very much seems that the golfing world hasn’t quite taken to Sun Day Red just yet.
Over time, who knows. But right now, Tiger and TaylorMade look like they’ve scored a bit of an own goal with this one.
