Sometimes, a sportsperson just seems to be good at everything they turn their hands to and it looks like we’ve got another in the form for tennis legend, Roger Federer.

Federer, widely regarded as one of the best tennis players of all time, has now retired.

The Swiss superstar spent nearly six years as the world number one in tennis and is often compared to Tiger Woods in golf, who also dominated the number one spot in his own right.

Of course, now Federer has hung up his racket, he’s trying to fill his time doing other things and lo and behold, it looks like he’s now turning his hand to our beloved game of golf.

We already know Novak Djokovic is a big fan of golf and he has played in high profile pro-ams over the years to showcase his skills.

Federer, it appears, is a touch newer to the game and will no doubt need to get minutes on the range to improve.

However, in typical fashion for an elite sportsman, it looks like Federer is taking to golf like a duck to water.

Golf fans blown away by how good Roger Federer’s swing is already looking

Social media is great for coming across videos like this and yesterday, a clip of Federer teeing off was released by the DP World Tour.

At first glance, Federer looks like he’s been playing golf for years, despite the tour suggesting in the tweet he is ‘picking up a new hobby.

And over on X, a number of golf fans couldn’t help but comment just how good Federer was looking with his swing.

More users on X continued to add their take on things as well, with @iancsmiffy even suggesting Federer might make it on tour one day!

I believe

@rogerfederer has the commitment and dedication to become an outstanding golfer. The PGA better watch out—he’s a class act!

That comment was something Ljubo Djurovic seemed to agree with.

“Not bad. Looks like a 12 handicapper swing. Knowing him, he can get to scratch in few years if he wants to.”

Of course, there’s always one who likes to throw in their comments and criticise, which is what one apparent golf coach did.

However, ‘Rod’ seemed to be on his own really, as more and more people loved what they were seeing.
