The Genesis Invitational has arrived, marking another marquee stop on the PGA Tour calendar.

As one of the Tour’s Signature Events, this week’s tournament has assembled one of the strongest fields of the season at an iconic venue.

Hosted by Tiger Woods, the Genesis once again carries added prestige on an already packed schedule.

Ludvig Aberg returns as the defending champion after his breakthrough victory last year, adding another compelling storyline to an elite field.

The Golfing Gazette has everything you need to know about the Genesis Invitational, including expert picks, TV coverage, and payout.

Genesis Invitational expert predictions

The Golfing Gazette’s experts have made their predictions for the winner of this week’s Genesis Invitational.

Antony Martin: Viktor Hovland excels with his mid-irons. In fact, he has been second to none in that department over the past two years. With more 150-200-yard approach shots at Riviera than any other PGA Tour venue, I’m backing Viktor to get back in the winners’ circle this week.

Charlie Walker: Rickie Fowler has been threatening the top of the leaderboard this year, and I think this will be the week he puts four rounds together and takes the win!

James Shearman: Hideki Matsuyama has been in fine form to start the 2026 PGA Tour season, with four consecutive top-15 finishes. He also won the 2024 Genesis Invitational, the last time it was played at Riviera, so he must be a leading contender this week.

Peter Lynch: While he hasn’t been setting the course alight, Russell Henley has been going along nicely in 2026 so far, and I can see a first title incoming this week.

Jordan Harris: I was so encouraged by Tommy Fleetwood’s performance at Pebble Beach that I am going to back him for a win this week. He went under the radar, but he has the game to compete if Scottie Scheffler is still not at his very best.
