Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry will be aiming to finish the FedExCup Playoffs on a high note at the Tour Championship.
Atlanta’s East Lake hosts the PGA Tour tournament, with 30 players in the Tour Championship field after 70 played the St Jude Championship and 50 played the BMW Championship.
McIlroy was spotted on the range ahead of the FedExCup finale, with the Northern Irishman having lifted the prestigious trophy on three occasions.
He will begin the Tour Championship at the newly-renovated East Lake on four under, starting sixth in the leaderboard.
Irishman Lowry meanwhile begins the competition in 13th place on three under, seven shots behind leader Scottie Scheffler.

Close friends McIlroy and Lowry emerged victorious from the Zurich Classic of New Orleans earlier this year, while both represented Team Ireland at the Olympics.

And they have now decided to take part in a last-minute practice session at East Lake ahead of the Tour Championship, with their driving and putting among the shots captured by the PGA Tour on X.
East Lake presents a level playing field for the Tour Championship
McIlroy has an impressive East Lake record, but he goes into this year’s event in the dark after its extensive restoration.
He is among the PGA Tour top 30 trying to get used to the new look this week, with the course set to look very different from last year.
It may mean he and Lowry have as good a chance as any of conquering East Lake, with the duo needing all the help they can get to overcome Scheffler.
McIlroy finished fourth on 14 under last time out, with his European counterpart Viktor Hovland storming to the FedExCup title.
The Norwegian is 17th in the leaderboard on two under for the Tour Championship, with Hovland ‘shocked’ by East Lake’s new look.
