Tiger Woods has suffered yet another injury setback, with the 15-time major champion undergoing surgery on a ruptured achilles.
Many golf fans think Woods should retire after his latest issue, which means he is set to miss out on another Masters appearance.
Woods is an 82-time PGA Tour champion, with five triumphs at the Masters among his stunning honours list.
His most recent PGA Tour title arrived at the 2019 Zozo Championship, a year in which he also won his 15th major championship.
But his future on the course now remains up in the air, although the 49-year-old has undergone successful surgery.

Tiger Woods told ‘this might be it’ after ruptured achilles surgery
The injury has, however, left a bitter taste in the mouth of Dan Rapaport, who shared his instant reaction with Skratch.
“I just saw the news that Tiger Woods ruptured his achilles tendon,” said Rapaport. “That is a horrific injury.
“Really, really brutal to come back from, even for an athlete in their prime. Obviously with Tiger’s history with with his leg, with everything else, it’s a massive mountain to climb.
“He hasn’t played this tournament, the Players Championship, since 2019, he obviously won’t be playing the Majors this year.
“Just really bummed out, one injury after another, and I think we were all hopeful that he would eventually start to be able to play more and work his way into competitive shape. But this might be it, who knows? It’s upsetting. It’s sad.”
Is Tiger Woods heading for retirement after another setback?
It sadly might be it for Woods, who seemingly cannot catch a break at this moment in time, both on and off the golf course.
But when an issue as serious as a ruptured achilles takes place when practising at home, it might be a sign that his days as a professional golfer are numbered.
Woods, however, is not likely to give up, meaning golf fans are likely to see the legend back playing in the near future.
What that return looks like remains to be seen, but not a single supporter will dare question the iconic figure if he does decide to call it a day.
