Charley Hull took the Solheim Cup by storm, with her Sunday singles win over Nelly Korda particularly standing out.
Hull overcame world number one Korda 6&4 in their Solheim Cup clash, although it wasn’t enough to produce the fightback needed.
USA captain Stacy Lewis may not have been too worried going into the final day, with the hosts having led 10-6 after days one and two.
But Suzann Pettersen’s side produced a superb fightback in Virginia, before ultimately falling short 15½-12½.
Hull and Korda exchanged messages after their match, with the duo having seemingly really enjoyed their battle.

Dan Rapaport makes Scottie Scheffler and Charley Hull claim after the Solheim Cup
The Solheim Cup brought the best out of Korda, although it is Hull who Dan Rapaport has decided to focus on following that superb individual win.
He drew comparisons between that and Scottie Scheffler’s fantastic win over Jon Rahm at the 2020 Ryder Cup, which took place in 2021, writing on X: “Beating the world No. 1 on that kind of stage can have a significant impact on a career. Example 1A: Scottie Scheffler over Jon Rahm in 2021.”
Can Charley Hull end major drought after shining at the Solheim Cup?
Hull’s win over Korda certainly closely resembled Scheffler’s over Rahm, albeit the nationalities were on the opposite side.
Scheffler has been flying high since that 2020 success, when he overcame world number one Rahm 4&3 in their Sunday singles match at Whistling Straits.
The former helped Team USA defeat Team Europe 19-9 with that performance, with the duo then sharing the points in their singles meeting in Rome last year.
Scheffler has achieved stunning success since overcoming Rahm, with Hull now surely hoping for a similar career trajectory.
Currently 12th in the world rankings, Hull is yet to win a major championship, but will have gained great confidence after cruising past world number one Korda.
