Donald Trump might be set for a second term as US President but it’s out on the golf course where our focus on the 78-year-old lies.
Trump has become something of a cult figure in the world of golf and after years of people questioning just how good he might be, Trump went on YouTube with Bryson DeChambeau to show the world he really can play.
Of course, now that Trump is set for a second run as President, there are suggestions the game of golf could heal, as talks with LIV and the PGA Tour seem likely to be accelerated.
Rory McIlroy has said Trump’s election win could be good for golf, while Dan Rapaport has claimed Trump’s win could have a big impact on the golf’s future.
Still, away from politics of any sort, Trump is just an avid golfer and lover of the game who has captured the imagination of many in the sport.
And that includes current English and LPGA star Charley Hull.

“I love Trump. I think he’s brilliant,” Hull said, in quotes from The Telegraph.
“I like how he just says things, he doesn’t care what people think and he’s straight to the point. I wish he was head of the UK,” she added. “I just like him as a person. He’s a little better than our Prime Minister.”
Pressed further on if she’d welcome a round with the soon to be US President, Hull admitted she’d be more than up for the challenge.
“That would be cool. I think he’s a legend.”
More Trump golf on camera is what we need
Removing any sort of political biases from the matter, the truth is that seeing Donald Trump play with Bryson DeChambeau was one of the most entertaining pieces of golf content ever produced.
And while he will be a busy man come January, the more we can see Trump on the fairways pitting his wits against the pros, the better.
A match up with players from the LPGA like Charley Hull or even Nelly Korda would draw massive numbers and there’s no doubt they’d be going all out to win as well.
Trump, of course, is a winner himself so the content on offer would be amazing viewing once more.
