Charles Howell III was part of the first group of players who left the PGA Tour to join LIV Golf back in 2022.
Howell III, 46, is now on the downward curve of his career, but he has still been producing some fine golf on LIV.
He only won three times throughout his entire career on the PGA Tour, and already has one victory to his name on the Saudi-backed golf league.
Bryson DeChambeau recently raved about his LIV Golf teammate Howell III, after the two Crushers teammates went head-to-head during the final round in South Korea.
The man from Augusta, Georgia, has always been an incredibly solid player from tee to green, and he really should have won more than he has done throughout his career.
However, he clearly seems to be loving life on LIV, regardless of whether he is winning or not.
Charles Howell III compares LIV and the PGA Tour
The 46-year-old has always been a popular figure amongst his peers throughout his time in the professional game.
He was always smiling and in good spirits during his time on the PGA Tour, but it seems he feels like he really missed out on something before joining LIV.

Howell III spoke to UK radio station talkSPORT at LIV UK last week, and responded when asked what he loves so much about the tour.
He said: “I spent so many years in America, basically, that I wanted to play around the world before I was done.
“What an opportunity where if you ever told me I would be playing golf in Spain, Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong and Singapore I would never have believed you.
“The opportunity to do that alone has been awesome. To play golf around the world to see how my game holds up with all the travel and the jet lag and different courses and conditions, it has been awesome.
“I wish I could have done this early in my career, because I think it has made me a better player. But it has worked out this way and this has been great.
“The product of LIV is very good. The individual side plus the team side, and with time we will keep growing and getting bigger and better.
“The people who come to the events love them, it’s not the typical stuck up, really quiet. They play music and you can have fun and bring your kids and they can run around. It’s a sporting event, not a funeral which is good.“
Tone deaf Howell III is missing the point badly with comments on LIV
Howell III’s comments seem to be slightly disingenuous to me. Either that or he’s completely tone deaf.
After all, there is another tour which travels the world and has run alongside the PGA Tour throughout his entire career.
The DP World Tour, formerly the European Tour, travels to every corner of the globe on their year-long schedule.
If Howell III was so desperate to play golf abroad, could he not have attempted to earn his card in Europe?
The cynical amongst us might just accuse the LIV golfer of being unauthentic with his words about how much he’s loving life since leaving the PGA Tour.
The signing on bonus he would have received from LIV Golf three years ago might have been the main reason why he joined them, but who knows!
