Butch Harmon is one of the most respected voices in golf and he’s had plenty to say at the 2025 Masters Tournament.

The legendary coach, who has worked with Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson, is commentating this week at Augusta National.

He spoke glowingly about one man during the second round of The Masters on Friday.

Indeed, Harmon claimed that this player is destined for great things in the sport because he doesn’t have a “weakness.”

Butch Harmon names the player at The Masters he expects to become a ‘superstar’

Ludvig Aberg has received plenty of television coverage in the first two rounds of The Masters.

That’s because he’s played alongside Rory McIlroy and Akshay Bhatia in one of the four featured groups.

Speaking about Aberg on Friday, Harmon explained why he’s so confident that he’ll become a world-class player one day – if he’s not already.

“I think we’re looking at the next superstar here with this kid. He has got all the tools,” he said.

“I think his golf swing is so simple. It’s very up and down. He gets on with it. He has a great demeanour. He’s kind of a flatliner. You never know whether he’s up or down. He’s got a great caddie on high bag, Joe Skovron, who used to caddie for Rickie Fowler. They’re a good team together.”

He continued: “If you look at it, it’s a very up-and-down swing. It’s not a rotary swing like we see a lot in the modern players. I like what he does. He gets on with it. He doesn’t fiddle around much.

“He’s one of those guys where you say, ‘What’s the strongest part of his game?’ The strongest part of his game is that he doesn’t have a weakness. He does everything pretty good.”

Aberg also has the seal of approval from 20-time LPGA Tour winner Dame Laura Davies, who replied: “I can’t disagree with you there Butch.”

Ludvig Aberg names his favorite and least favorite holes at Augusta National

Aberg answered several quick-fire questions recently about his preferences at The Masters.

The world number five said that his favorite hole at Augusta is the par-3 12th, while his least favorite is the par-4 7th.

He then added that the most difficult shot on the golf course is the second at the par-5 13th.

However, Aberg hasn’t appeared to find that shot challenging so far in this tournament, with a birdie there on Thursday and par on Friday.
