Bubba Watson was probably one of the least likely LIV Golf players to make the cut at The Masters.
Of course, he’s a former champion at Augusta National, but the 46-year-old has not played well on LIV this season.
He’s not finished inside the top 10 in any of the five events so far, and he’s 36th in the overall standings on just seven points.
It’s fair to say that Watson has exceeded expectations by comfortably making the weekend at The Masters at one under par.

Bubba Watson reveals his aim for the weekend at The Masters
Watson has played well in both rounds at The Masters, but he could be much better off.
He’s made seven birdies and an eagle but too many mistakes have probably ended his chances to win the Green Jacket again.
Still, Watson has a realistic opportunity to make the top 10 on Sunday and that would surge him up the world rankings.
Players don’t receive ranking points on LIV Golf, so they really need to make the most of the majors to ensure qualification for future events.
Watson admitted that is his goal for the weekend: “Just to keep doing the same thing. Now, who knows what’s going to happen by the end of the day, but I’m going to be back pretty good, eight, nine, ten shots, so I’m just going to try to play solid, have a high finish, finally get some world ranking points.”

Bubba Watson says whether he believed he could win The Masters this week
Watson has more great memories at Augusta than most players, so who could blame him for thinking he could win this week?
The two-time champion said that he believed he had “a chance” to claim his third title despite his underwhelming recent form.
“Yeah, you’re always thinking that,” Watson added. The golf course is in great shape. If you can hit the driver well and make some putts… I’ve made a couple mistakes over the last two days that cost me, which you can’t really do around here.
“Had two three-putts that you can’t do. Most winners don’t have three-putts. So there are a few things that I wish were better, but yeah, I always think I have a chance, especially around this place. Look at Fred Couples. He’s 65. You always see Fred’s name at some point during the championship.”
