Bryson DeChambeau leads LIV Mexico by one shot from Jon Rahm and Cameron Smith after day one.
DeChambeau is undoubtedly one of the biggest draws in world golf, if not the biggest.
Meanwhile, Rahm is a very popular player amongst the fans as well due to his raw power and the unbridled emotion he shows when playing out on the course.
The American joined LIV Golf in the summer of 2022, whilst the Spaniard jumped ship from the PGA Tour in December 2023.
Rory McIlroy actually recently claimed that both DeChambeau and Rahm should be welcomed back to the PGA Tour, if they do in fact want to return for certain events.

As things stand right now though, it looks like both of them are more than happy with playing on LIV, and the lifestyle that entails.
They were certainly having fun at Club de Golf Chapultepec on Friday afternoon.
Bryson DeChambeau stopped press conference to watch Jon Rahm finish
DeChambeau and Rahm were in scintillating form on day one of LIV Mexico.
The 31-year-old reigning US Open champion was interacting with the fans throughout his entire round.
The drive he hit on his final hole of the day (the 1st hole) was truly awesome. A 391-yard par four was reduced to a 20-foot putt for eagle by DeChambeau after he drove the green and sent the fans wild in the process.
Whilst Rahm was slightly more reserved, he did thrill the galleries with some exceptional iron play and magical short-game skills around the greens.
DeChambeau is clearly a huge fan of the 30-year-old two-time major champion.

As Rahm’s press conference began following his opening round 64, the moderator told the Spaniard what DeChambeau had to say about him:
“Jon, you fired off a seven-under. You’re currently sitting at T2. We had Bryson in here earlier. He stopped the press conference so he could watch you putt, and he said, wow, Jon is just playing so incredible. That guy is just unbelievable. What are your comments on that?“
And Rahm responded in kind:
“Thank you. Likewise to Bryson because clearly he’s had a few good weeks and continues today. Yeah, he’s right. I’ve been fairly comfortable the last few weeks, playing really good golf, and I’m glad today was one of those days where I finally started the tournament in a little bit of a — with a better round and what better way to start it than with three birdies in a row. That just set the tone, and felt really comfortable on the greens all day. Couldn’t really have asked for a much better score.“
Will Rahm follow DeChambeau into the world of YouTube content creation?
DeChambeau has just as many fans in the world of online content creation as he does on golf courses around the world.
Meanwhile, his Spanish counterpart prefers to focus purely on his golf game.
Rahm was asked recently whether he could emulate DeChambeau by starting up a YouTube channel:
“Knowing my personality it would probably consume too much of my time that I should actually focus on being a better golfer,”
DeChambeau has certainly helped change the landscape of professional golf over the past few years.
Whether you like him or not, it’s hard to deny that he has had a tangible impact on the way that the game of golf is perceived by young players.
