Bryson DeChambeau has played some utterly marvellous golf over his career so far but even he can pinpoint two career high best shots

The American – who won his second US Open just over a week ago – has exploded back onto the scene and is now one of the most popular and best players in the world again.

For DeChambeau, the move to LIV Golf has worked out superbly well for him and after his performance at Pinehurst, many predict he’ll go on to win more majors.

Of course, for Bryson to do that, he’s going to need big moments and big shots.

And speaking in an interview for Golf.com (filmed before his win at Pinehurst), DeChambeau revealed the two big shots that stick out in his career.

Bryson DeChambeau names the two best shots of his career so far

Asked directly about the best shots he’s hit, DeChambeau recalls two moments specifically, both with huge and relatively equal significance.

“Talk about the 16th hole in the US Open final round where I piped driver over the corner and Matthew laid up into the rough and made double or something and I made par and he has a six shot lead or something like that. Probably one of my favourite moments,” DeChambeau said.

“And then probably making the 40 footer at Greenbrier to shoot 58. I mean, greatest golf round moment in my entire career moment.

“But for the situation, it was definitely the US Open.”

Of course, his win at Pinehurst also saw him hit some of the best shots of his life and if you asked him this question again now, you’d imagine the bunker shot on 18 might crop up.

DeChambeau is very much a moment player and he thrives off the fan support and buzz of those moments.

And on current form, there’s a high chance he produces some more moments of magic in the not too distant future.
