Bryson DeChambeau is the longest hitter in the game, bar none.
LIV Golf star DeChambeau doesn’t always hit his driver at maximum speed during tournaments but when he does, he has been known to hit his ball over 400 yards.
Pat Perez claimed earlier this season that he has never seen anybody drive the ball like DeChambeau.
DeChambeau has actually been driving the ball longer and straighter than ever over on LIV this season.
He regularly clocks 190+ mph ball speeds during tournament play, but his personal best is 221.5 mph, achieved during a Cobra testing session in 2021.

If you’re an amateur golfer and want to hit the ball further off the tee, who better to take advice from than DeChambeau?
Bryson DeChambeau shares how he gets maximum distance on his drives
DeChambeau will crank up the power, so to speak, every so often during tournament play.
He has done exactly that plenty of times this season, most notably during LIV Mexico when he drove the 391-yard par four first hole.
The ability to lean on an extra 10mph of ball speed when it’s needed must be incredibly nice to have for a pro golfer.
But maybe amateurs could learn a thing or two from DeChambeau.
During an appearance on the Pat McAfee show, the 31-year-old American responded when asked what changes he makes when he really wants to ‘go after’ a drive.
He explained: “When I’m hitting it normal, I don’t use a lot of force in my body, I just try to swing with my arms. And then when going after it, very simply, you’ll see my body go up on the backstroke. I’ll already start letting my body fall to the ground when I get to the top. And then right when I hit the top, I then turn the corner, I start pushing force into my left foot, turn around the corner, that throws the club down. And then, as that occurs, right about here [with the club almost parallel to the ground], it’s almost like a jump and that lets the club just flow through and over. And honestly, those three things – up, let it go down, push back and around – is what makes the club go really fast and flick. It’s a pretty technical thing to do.“
Bryson DeChambeau’s driving stats since he joined LIV
DeChambeau is arguably the best driver of the ball in world golf.
Some may say Rory McIlroy is but even if you do think the Northern Irishman is top of the tree with a driver in his hand, it’s very much a toss of a coin out of the two players.
Here are DeChambeau’s driving stats from the last three seasons on LIV Golf:
| eason | Driving distance | Rank | Driving accuracy | Rank |
| 2025 | 327.8 yards | 2nd | 60.91% | 15th |
| 2024 | 323.5 yards | 1st | 54.11% | 36th |
| 2023 | 316.8 yards | 3rd | 55.99% | 37th |
Joaquin Niemann has just overtaken DeChambeau in the driving distance category over the past week.
However, the two-time US Open champion has plenty of power in reserve, and is easily capable of finding another 30 yards or more when he really needs it.
DeChambeau is the only elite tour pro who has entered into, and performed very well in, a long driving contest.
And that tells us all we need to know about his power.
