Bryson DeChambeau won the US Open in dramatic fashion but still couldn’t avoid questions about LIV Golf and the PGA Tour afterwards.
DeChambeau celebrated in style as he putted home on 18 to see off Rory McIlroy in dramatic fashion and take home his second US Open title.
For the American, it was a reward for months of hard work on his game and after coming up just short at Valhalla, some would say he thoroughly deserves it.
However, the bigger picture in golf was brought up once again in the press afterwards.
And DeChambeau, answering a specific question on the subject, had a blunt message for the boards of both tours.

Bryson DeChambeau sends blunt message to PGA Tour and LIV Golf boards after US Open win
Speaking to the media after his stunning win at Pinehurst, DeChambeau addressed the ongoing battle between LIV and the PGA Tour.
“If I am going to be quite frank, I hope we can figure things out quickly. I hope this can bridge the gap between the divided game,” DeChambeau said.
“All I want to do is entertain and do my best for the game of golf and execute and provide some awesome entertainment.
“For as far as I can tell, that’s what the fans want and they deserve that. You can say what has happened in the past, you were part of the reasons.
“But let bygones be bygones. Let’s go figure it out. Let’s go find out how to bring this amazing game, which can create so much positivity, back to where it belongs.”
Bryson proves golf needs to come together
It was quite the tournament at Pinehurst this weekend, it really was.
We had the best on the PGA Tour battling the best on the LIV Tour and in the end, it was the LIV superstar who won out this time.
However, it showed once and for all that the game needs the best players in the world coming together more often and battling head to head.
The drama, the standard of play, and then the result at the end showed just what golf has been missing since being torn apart a few years back.
DeChambeau is an enigma in golf right now and surely the PGA have had their eyes opened to what they’re missing.
