Bryson DeChambeau and Scottie Scheffler were a losing pairing at the Ryder Cup as they lost out to Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood in the afternoon session.
Keegan Bradley went big by putting two of his best players together but much like every other decision he’s made this weekend, it didn’t pay off.
Fleetwood and Rose had too much for the world number one and DeChambeau and in the end, they won out 3&2 to hand Europe another point.
DeChambeau’s match saw tempers flare near the end as well as the frustration kicked in.
However, despite being way behind heading into the Sunday singles, DeChambeau is keeping positive.

Bryson DeChambeau says if Team USA can still win the Ryder Cup
Every sports-person has to remain positive to the media even in the face of adversity but even for Bryson DeChambeau, it’s hard to keep up the look.
Nevertheless, the American talisman is a positive person in general and speaking to the media after losing alongside Scheffler, he admitted anything is possible.
“Yeah, I think still playing good golf. Tomorrow anything can happen. I know it’s quite lopsided, but it would make for a great comeback story,” DeChambeau admitted.
As for Scottie Scheffler, he has struggled as well. Scheffler became the first man since 1969 to lose all four opening matches and he paid tribute to his playing partner on this one.
“Yeah, Bryson and I did some good stuff out there. We were into a tough matchup today,” Scheffler admitted.
“Those guys played great. They made a ton of putts and really tip of a cap to them. They played better than we did. Bryson did a great job battling all day. Did a really good job keeping us in the match, but overall just didn’t do enough, and they played great.”
Keegan Bradley’s big calls are all backfiring at Bethpage
Make no mistake about it, this has been a complete disaster for Keegan Bradley and the US team.
His decision to keep with the partnership of Henley and Scheffler was questionable, the call to go again with Morikawa and English even worse, and then the bold call to partner Scheffler with DeChambeau also didn’t pay off.
Ultimately, it’s just been a nightmare of a Ryder Cup for Bradley so far.
Of course, it’s not all down to him. His players needed to perform and over the two days his 12 players just haven’t done the business.
But, when all is said and done, it will be Bradley who is under the microscope and if it carries on like this, he’ll go down as one of the worst captains in history.
