However, the 32-year-old is currently deep in negotiations with the Saudi-backed outfit regarding a contract extension.
LIV obtaining world ranking points should help tie DeChambeau down to a new long-term contract.

If he signs up to a new deal, it will be a huge boost for LIV, but if he doesn’t, there could be serious trouble ahead for them.
Now the man from Dallas, Texas, has provided an update on the current state of play, when speaking to the Mirror.
“Yeah, progress has been made,“ DeChambeau insisted.
“We, again, are in negotiations, and I want what’s best for the game of golf and for the league, ultimately, we just have to continue to align.
“Like I said from day one, if we can get to an alignment point, like there’s no doubt that I’ll be here next year.
“We just have to get there.“

Finally, DeChambeau was asked whether Patrick Reed’s decision to leave LIV impacted his contract negotiations.

“Everybody has their own decisions to make for whatever reasons they are,“ DeChambeau said.
“I’m currently focused on what I’m trying to deliver to LIV Golf into the golf ecosystem and however it shakes out, you know, it’s going to shake out, but currently this year is going to be a good year of golf for me.
“Very excited for the future of that competitively, the year with LIV Golf, and then with the majors, I love the golf courses this year and I need to be ready to go for those tournaments.
“So I’m excited.“
2026 will be a hugely important year for the 32-year-old.
He will obviously want to win multiple times on LIV Golf, but for DeChambeau, success in the majors is clearly what really drives him.
