Bryson DeChambeau is one of the players in contention to win the US Open heading into round three this weekend.
DeChambeau carded another impressive round of 69 to go into the weekend at four-under and firmly in the mix to win a second major of his career.
The popular American has been playing well in recent weeks and he came ever so close to winning at Valhalla a few weeks back before Xander Schauffele holed out to win.

With the field so close going into Saturday at Pinehurst No.2, DeChambeau knows he’s put himself into a great position.
And speaking about the final two rounds, the LIV superstar has made a prediction on what score’s going to be needed to win out.

Bryson DeChambeau predicts the winning score for the US Open
Speaking to the media after his impressive second round, DeChambeau admitted that he doesn’t see the scores going too deep.
“I think four under is going to have a really good shot. I just don’t know the conditions over the next few days.
“If I had a crystal ball, it’s going to be close. I would like to get to six or seven under. I think that would be a position I would be more comfortable. Maybe it goes to 10. But I feel good about where I’m at,” DeChambeau commented.
DeChambeau will be a popular winner if he pulls it off
Few players encapsulate the modern golfer quite like Bryson DeChambeau and for all the talk of LIV and PGA being world apart, he remains popular on both tours.
DeChambeau has shown in the last few months he is blockbuster entertainment and golf in general is a better place when he’s playing in the big ones.
This weekend, there are a number of popular players in the mix to win.
Rory McIlroy, of course, is one of those, while Ludvig Aberg is also seeing his star rise and will be a welcome winner.
But if DeChambeau can get it done, you feel the crowd will love it at Pinehurst. And if he continues as he is, then there’s every chance he does indeed take the win.
