Brooks Koepka is leading over in LIV Singapore this weekend and is getting some ideal prep in ahead of the PGA Championship in a few weeks.

Koepka carded a fine seven-under to make it -12 overall in Singapore and he’s looking on course to pick up yet another big career win.

Of course, while LIV titles are important to ‘Brooks’, winning the majors is something he excels at and looks forward to.

Koepka has won five in his career already, including two US Opens and now three PGA’s, including the 2023 tournament.

And ahead of potentially making it four wins at the PGA, Koepka has revealed that it’s actually what happened at Augusta this year that is driving his upturn in form.

Brooks Koepka says he was so embarrassed at The Masters

Speaking after another fine round of seven under over in Singapore, Koepka shared what happened at the Masters is driving him on to be better.

“Look yeah I’ve gone back to back in the PGA and the US Open, hopefully looking at doing it again, not sure if it’s ever been done but I’ve tried the three-peat out here, not very good at it or at the majors.

“Look, I think the embarrassment of Augusta really kicked things into overdrive for me in terms of having to put my nose down and grind a little bit harder. Having to look my team in the eyes and apologise and not looking to do that again,” Koepka said.

Another major win makes Brooks Koepka an all-timer

For all the talk of Rory McIlroy finally winning the Masters and if Tiger Woods will ever get his hands on one more major, people forget just how good Brooks Koepka is.

Winning five already in this current era, with the likes of McIlroy, Scheffler and more all at their peak is quite the achievement.

If Koepka can go on and make it a sixth in a few weeks then we are suddenly in the territory of him being one of the very best to EVER do it.

Don’t rule him out either. He’s won three PGA titles since 2018 and on the form he’s shown at LIV this weekend, he’s going to be a contender.

Koepka finished tied for 45th in the Masters ’embarrassment’ he speaks of here. The odds of him doing so poorly in the PGA then, seem significantly lower.
