Bryson DeChambeau will be on the US Ryder Cup team at Bethpage Black in September.
LIV Golf star DeChambeau has performed incredibly well in the majors over the past 16 months, and those displays have helped him climb inside the top six of the Ryder Cup standings.
Keegan Bradley has already confirmed that DeChambeau will be on the Ryder Cup team despite the fact that he could still be leap-frogged over the course of the next two weeks.
His game is actually perfectly suited to the challenge that awaits at Bethpage Black next month, what with his unrivalled power off the tee and his exceptional short game.

However, it has been claimed that DeChambeau will not be granted special dispensation to play on the PGA Tour at the Procore Championship next month along with all of his Ryder Cup teammates.
That is obviously because he is still banned, having jumped ship to LIV Golf in June 2022.
And now Brandel Chamblee has given his opinion on whether or not the 31-year-old American should be on the Ryder Cup team.
Brandel Chamblee says if US players want Bryson DeChambeau on the Ryder Cup team
Chamblee is well-known for his views on LIV Golf.
He is a fierce advocate of the PGA Tour and one of LIV’s biggest detractors.
Chamblee is firmly in the school of thought that any player who left to join LIV made their bed, and now they have to lie in it.

Chamblee was asked on X if he believes the rest of the US team actually want Bryson at Bethpage.
He said: “Bryson is a hell of a player. But he comes dragging the baggage of a medievally funded, every word in support of destroying the tour it speaks of, poorly ran, weakly competed tour of mostly malcontents who sought to turn their success in golf to a pro golf game changer, only to realize the only thing any of them changed was how the world of pro golf viewed them.“
That’s a really interesting take from Chamblee, but I can guarantee you that every single player on the American team wants DeChambeau to play at Bethpage.
It would be foolish to not want him there, with the US having won just four of the last 14 Ryder Cups.
Jack Nicklaus said if Bryson DeChambeau should’ve played at the 2023 Ryder Cup
The bottom line is that DeChambeau is one of the best players in the world, and the American team will be stronger with him as part of it.
He should have been on the US team in Italy two years ago as well.
However, Jack Nicklaus had a different take on the situation. He was asked if he agreed with Zach Johnson selecting Brooks Koepka.
Nicklaus said: “I think he deserved to be on the team. Yes, no question. He played very well. He played very well in very important tournaments. He got beat out the last tournament for the automatic spot, but he’s still deserved to be picked.“
The 18-time major champion was then asked whether DeChambeau should have been included on the team as well.
He said: “I don’t think there’s anybody else from LIV that deserved to be picked.“
It would be interesting to know whether Nicklaus holds the same opinion about DeChambeau being on the Ryder Cup team now.
One would assume that he surely doesn’t, given the 31-year-old’s form over the past 18 months.
