Anthony Kim is making a return to LIV Golf for 2025, with the American once again a wildcard for the second successive season.

The new LIV Golf season begins this week with LIV Golf Riyadh, where the likes of Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia are all involved for their respective teams.

LIV Golf Riyadh is taking place at night, and coincides with many PGA Tour stars taking on the WM Phoenix Open in Arizona.

Scottie Scheffler is excited for the WM Phoenix Open, but many of his compatriots are instead focusing on getting off to a strong start in Riyadh.

But without a team once more is wildcard Kim, who is one of two 2025 LIV Golf wildcards along with Chieh-Po Lee.

LIV Golf’s Anthony Kim didn’t get fitted for clubs last season as he wasn’t hitting middle ‘consistently’

LIV Golf’s Editorial Director Mike McAllister has now shared an update from Kim ahead of LIV Golf Riyadh, with the latter explaining to the former why he chose not to get fitted for clubs last season.

“There was no point,” said Kim. “People ask me why I didn’t get fitted sooner, but when you’re not hitting the ball in the middle of the face consistently, it really doesn’t matter what you’re using.”

And sharing his excitement for his newly-fitted clubs, expecting them to make a significant difference in performance, he added: “It’s a big change.

“I feel I’m at the point where I’m hitting the ball in the middle of the face most of the time. So it’s made a big difference in how the ball is reacting.”

Anthony Kim swinging as good as ever ahead of LIV Golf return

Kim burst onto the scene in 2008 with two PGA Tour wins, as well as shining at Valhalla as the US won the Ryder Cup.

He added another PGA Tour title to his honours list, with the American reaching sixth in the world rankings in his early 20s.

But a 12-year absence followed shortly after due to issues such as injury, with the 39-year-old recently returning to the course at LIV Golf.

He now has grand plans for the new season, with Kim saying: “My goal is to contend and win tournaments.

“I actually feel like my best golf is ahead of me, including from when I played on the PGA Tour. I’m swinging it as good as I ever have. I’m thinking very clearly. Now I just got to put it all together.”
