If there’s one man who knows a lot about Bryson DeChambeau right now, it’s his LIV Golf and Crushers GC teammate, Anirban Lahiri.

Lahiri, along with DeChambeau, is out playing in India at the International Series event this week as the top LIV players do their latest bid at ‘growing the game’.

In fairness to DeChambeau, he has spent the week trying to do just that. The American has been out among the crowds, doing clinics and giving talks on his career.

However, having struggled in round two and now over par for the tournament, DeChambeau is finding the going tough on what he – jokingly – labelled a ‘diabolic’ course at the DLF Golf and Country club.

And while those comments might have been a bit tongue-in-cheek, his Crushers teammate Lahiri has seemingly come to the same conclusion.

Bryson DeChambeau proved right about the DLF Golf and Country Club in India

Like DeChambeau, Lahiri is among a group of players trying to hunt down the leader after two rounds, Joaquin Niemann.

However, while Lahiri made reference to his own game when speaking to the press, he did touch on DeChambeau’s comments and admitted that the course is indeed hard, no matter who you are.

“It’s not their play, and it’s not even me rubbing off, it’s that if I’m calling an eight of spades an eight of spades, I’m just being frank. I’m not going to call it a seven of diamonds. This course does make you uncomfortable. Period. It doesn’t matter how good you are,” Lahiri said.

“There are some pins out here that gives even guys at our level jitters. It can make you look silly. You hit one putt on the 18th hole one foot too hard and you almost hit it in the water. It has nothing to do with playing bad.”

How LIV Golf players are doing at the International Series India

While DeChambeau might not be winning, he isn’t too far back really in what is a mixed bag of results so far for the LIV players.

As we know, Niemann is leading the way but there have been some poor performances as well.

LIV players are struggling, with many well over par and new LIV signing Luis Masaveu all the way back on seven over par.

Still, it’s good to see some big names out in India and the crowds are taking to the event, which promises to get even better over the weekend.
