Amanda Balionis has dropped a truly shocking prediction ahead of The 2025 Masters.
Masters week is finally upon us, and what a glorious time it is for golf fans around the world.
As the players head down Magnolia Lane to compete in the 89th Masters at Augusta National, golf fans the world over will be glued to their television screens for four days straight.
All the usual suspects will be in Georgia for the eagerly anticipated Masters tournament.
However, not every player at Augusta this week is in tip-top form.

And now Balionis – a CBS Sports reporter who specialises in golf – has made a big call ahead of the first major of the season.
Amanda Balionis makes shock Max Homa prediciton ahead of The Masters
Max Homa heads into the Masters as arguably the most out-of-form player in the field.
The 34-year-old’s record on the PGA Tour this season has been abysmal.
In fact, he hasn’t made the weekend in an event with a cut since the Open Championship in July 2024.
Max Homa’s season spiralled into chaos when he parted ways with his caddy Joe Greiner last week.
Given all that has gone on with the Californian over the past nine months or so, the prediction that Balionis just made was truly jaw-dropping.
When speaking on Sky Sports, Balionis tipped Homa to rediscover his best form this week:

“I am keeping my eye on Max Homa. I think a lot of people forget that he was very much in contention to win here (last year). He’s been struggling this season, badly. A lot of changes, a lot going on. No one knows how to dig themselves out of a hole better than Max Homa. He’s done it before and he can do it again. I think he turns it around.“
Can Max Homa actually make the cut at The Masters, let alone win it?
Homa finished in a tied for third at the 2024 Masters, although he was seven shots adrift of the eventual winner – Scottie Scheffler.
So can he recapture the form that saw him make the Ryder Cup team in 2023 and the President’s Cup side in 2022 and 2024?
It really is a long shot.
Nobody would be surprised to see Max Homa miss the cut at the Masters this year.
But if he does go on to win, or even contend, Amanda Balionis will end up looking like an absolute genius!
