Dustin Johnson looks set to continue his story with LIV Golf in 2026, having impressed in the latest season.

Johnson finished 14th in the 2025 LIV Golf individual standings, finishing his season with a third place finish at Indianapolis.

4Aces captain Johnson is set to remain with LIV Golf for the new campaign, which starts in Riyadh in February.

Johnson surprised Gary Player with his move to LIV Golf, but the American seemingly hasn’t looked back since his switch from the PGA Tour.

He has won two major championships in his fantastic career, with such success helped by his efforts from the tee.

Sharing insight into his swing thoughts long ago, he said of his driving: “When I am on the range, preparing for a round, I will check all of my keys to hitting a good drive.

“First of all, I am going to start out with my stance and set up. I am going to get a good, solid stance, maybe shoulder-width apart or a little more with driver.

“I am going to take my club and push my hips back and I just bend my knees from there and push down, to make sure my weight is down.

“From there you just need to let your arms hang and from there you are going to be in a pretty good position to hit a good tee ball.

“Once I get set up in my good posture and good set-up, in the takeaway I am trying to maintain my posture and my setup in the first few feet of the takeaway, so there is no standing up, there is no going down.

“Keep everything real solid and real centred in the first two feet of the takeaway. So on my downswing, the only thing I am going to work on is making sure this [back] hip turns through the ball hard. If it does that I am going to have a lot of space at the bottom and be able to hit good drives.”

Johnson certainly hit the ball well off the tee in LIV Golf in 2025, having ranked 14th for driving distance with an average figure of 315.7 yards.

It was, however, a frustrating season for the veteran when he temporarily left his regular tour to take on the major championship events.

His displays were some way off those which helped him to major success in 2016 and 2020, when Johnson won the US Open and The Masters respectively.

There was somewhat of a recovery at The Open Championship this season, but the American will be disappointed with his overall efforts on the big stage.
