Bryson DeChambeau caused a real furore on day two of the Ryder cup at Bethpage Black last week when things got heated between him and Justin Rose.

DeChambeau clashed with Rose at the Ryder Cup last week after the American’s caddie walked into the Englishman’s eye-line when he was going through his pre-shot routine on the 15th green at Bethpage Black.

The Ryder Cup gets heated every time it is played, so it was no surprise that tempers flared between DeChambeau and Rose at Bethpage.

However, it’s fair to argue that the European team member, 45, did nothing wrong. He wasn’t rude to his opponent’s caddie, Greg Bodine, in any way.

However, DeChambeau accused Rose of talking down to his bag-man.

The Ryder Cup clash between DeChambeau and Rose was somewhat of a storm in a teacup, and hopefully all parties have moved on from the incident now.

However, if DeChambeau is honest with himself, his reaction was over the top. It’s not like he has never acted poorly on the golf course before, is it?

What Bryson DeChambeau did during Ryder Cup spat with Justin Rose now looks very bad

Emotions always seem to spill over in the biennial competition, so the clash between the American and the Englishman at Bethpage was nothing new.

However, it did seem like DeChambeau’s reaction to Rose’s comments to Bodine was slightly unwarranted. It wasn’t as if the 2013 US Open champion swatted the American’s caddie away, was it?

And the LIV Golf star should know all about getting a bit edgy on the golf course himself.

Despite the new persona he has tried to create, he still reverts back to his tetchy ways at times.

We’ve actually seen two examples of that behaviour this year already and there are surely many more which haven’t come to light.

Back at The Open Championship at Royal Portrush in July, DeChambeau was caught on camera being rude to a marshal who had found his ball.

Some suggested he was just entirely focused on his round, but you the reader, can be the judge of that by watching the below video…

That’s not the only time that DeChambeau’s mask has slipped, so to speak.

Bryson DeChambeau was angry with fans at LIV Golf UK

DeChambeau was overheard complaining about LIV Golf UK fans at the JCB Golf & Country Club back in July.

He wasn’t on top form two months ago at LIV Golf UK, and ended up in a tie for 11th.

In spite of his average performance, DeChambeau still provided great entertainment for the fans at the JCB Golf & Country Club.

He enjoyed plenty of interaction with the spectators in attendance but he wasn’t happy with one thing he heard from the galleries.

DeChambeau complained to LIV CEO Scott O’Neil midway through his round. He said: I love the banter out there but they can’t be saying miss it. They can’t be saying miss it, miss it, miss it.

Given DeChambeau’s new approach to professional golf, one where he has often geed the fans up and asked for more noise, it’s a little bit rich for him to moan about some edgy shouts from the crowds.

There are people out there who believe that DeChambeau’s new persona is fabricated.

And instances like the two mentioned above only serve to lend credence to that notion.
