What is the Valero Texas Open prize money?

The prize money at the Valero Texas Open is $9.5 million in total. It’s not one of the PGA Tour’s biggest events, so it’s worth much less than the $20m at next week’s Masters Tournament.

Valero Texas Open picks

The Golfing Gazette writers have predicted who will win the Valero Texas Open this week:

Peter Lynch: Min Woo Lee became a first-time winner on the PGA Tour in Houston, and I’m backing Fleetwood to do the same this time around, with his drought undoubtedly one of the most remarkable storylines going.

Jordan Harris: Akshay Bhatia won this event in 2024 and has three top 10s in his last four starts – including a tied third finish at The Players. Had Bhatia’s putter stayed warm for the final round, he really could have won at TPC Sawgrass. So, he could definitely win this tournament for a second time if his putter catches fire.

James Shearman: Denny McCarthy was so unlucky not to win last after being nine shots ahead of third-place Rory McIlroy and losing to Bhatia in a playoff. He’s finished in the top 20 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and Players Championship this season, so he’s in good enough form to go one better this time.
