Scottie Scheffler had one of the best years ever seen in golf in 2024 and with the 2025 season to come, the rest of the field will know if they beat Scheffler they’ve got a big chance of success.
Scheffler won his second green jacket at the Masters while also winning a number of signature events such as The Players, The Memorial and the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
The American also won the gold medal at the Olympics in Paris to complete a memorable year, before signing off for the season by coming out on top in the FedEx Cup.
It’s safe to say, then, that Scheffler enjoyed the sort of year most golfers would dream of.
However, while the tournament wins and the gold medal stood out, Scheffler also broke a number of other records over the course of 2024.

The golf records Scottie Scheffler broke in 2024
Scottie Scheffler will simply look at what he won and the achievements on that front but it’s worth noting for us golf fans the other records he broke.
And it’s safe to say the 28-year-old got himself plenty to his name after a memorable 2024.
Prize money
Scheffler won the most money ever recorded across a PGA Tour season as he racked up the cash following his multiple wins and subsequent FedEx win.
Overall, Scheffler took home a whopping $62,228,357, dwarfing the record amount he’d taken in 2023.
Quickest player to 13 wins
Quite remarkably, Scheffler became the quickest player ever to go from winning one event to winning 13.
His win at the FedEx got him to that mark and saw him surpass both Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus in doing so.
Biggest lead after an opening round in PGA Tour history
There might be a small caveat to this stat, but Scheffler’s six-under par opening round on the opening day of the Tour Championship saw him be seven shots clear of second place after one round.
That is the biggest lead in a PGA Tour event on record.
First number one ranked golfer to win Olympic gold
Of all the wins Scheffler registered in 2024, few got him as emotional as taking home gold for Team USA at Le Golf National in Paris.
After coming from behind to win, Scheffler became the first number one Olympic ranked golfer to take home gold.
Most FedEx Cup points ever
Adding another string to his bow, Scheffler racked up the most FedEx Cup points ever seen in a season as he got in excess of 6,600 points.
His closest contender was Xander Schauffele, who was over 1100 behind. Behind that, Scheffler was clear by thousands of the likes of Rory McIlroy and Hideki Matsuyama.
