The PGA Tour schedule continues this week with The RSM Classic, hosted as ever by Sea Island Golf Club on St. Simons Island, Georgia.
PGA Tour star Ludvig Aberg is among the 156-player field as the Swede makes his return from knee surgery.
He won The RSM Classic in 2023, matching the PGA Tour all-time competition scoring record with his 253-stroke 29-under, with Aberg shining in the FedEx Cup Playoffs this time around.
The event represents the eighth and final tournament of the FedEx Cup Fall schedule before the players break away until the new season.
Aberg will have grand plans for more success, with the rookie at the time of his maiden PGA Tour posting just one bogey all week.

PGA Tour should introduce night tournament for 2025
Also in the field at The RSM Classic is Drew Doyle, who is making his debut having qualified after a playoff under the lights, as per the PGA Tour.
It is a scenario that should give the organiser a way to enhance the 2025 calendar, with a night tournament certain to attract plenty of interest and intrigue.

That would represent an innovative move away from the regular events that currently occupy the PGA Tour schedule, with a night competition seemingly not too difficult to introduce given the facilities available at most courses on the calendar.
Does PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan need to sanction a night event?
A night tournament may not be warmly welcomed by all PGA Tour players, although its commissioner Jay Monahan does need to keep things fresh amid the ongoing battle with LIV Golf.
The PGA Tour and LIV Golf are close to agreeing a deal, but the former needs to continue innovating in order to keep fans and indeed players interested.
Losing any more star names to the latter in 2025 could be disastrous, with the introduction of a night tournament likely to pique the intrigue of many stakeholders.

A handful of golf fans are already pushing for the idea, with one taking to X to say: “We need a night tourney. First tee at 4:30pm,” with a second writing: “Would love to see a night tourney on tour.”
PGA Tour stars Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth all have experience of such an event, having taken part in The Match under the lights in 2022.
The Netflix Cup last year also involved playing under the lights, with plenty of spectators having attended both exhibition events.
