Torrey Pines Golf Course is one of the best in the world and thoroughly deserves its place on the PGA Tour calendar.
The club in San Diego, California is the annual venue for the Farmers Insurance Open, which Tiger Woods has won seven times, and now has another tournament on its resume.
That’s because the wildfires in the Los Angeles area prevented Riviera Country Club from hosting this year’s Genesis Invitational and Torrey Pines was chosen as the replacement.
This indicates how highly rated the course is by professionals, but that’s not to say that amateurs from around the world can’t enjoy playing there too.

Courses at Torrey Pines
There are two incredible courses at Torrey Pines: the South Course and the North Course. Both courses are used for the Farmers Insurance Open and are certainly worth playing.
The South Course is considerably more testing so, as you would expect, is where the 2025 Genesis Invitational and, occasionally, the US Open are held. It’s a par 72 and plays 7,802 yards from the championship tees.
The North Course is much easier to navigate, especially for amateurs, but still presents more than enough of a challenge. At 7,258 yards, the par-72 is plenty long enough from the furthest-back tees.
What makes both courses so special is that they are located on the coastal cliffs next to the Pacific Ocean.
